WMI Psychiatry Clinic

Expert care. Genuine compassion. Affordable pricing.

Our Approach

Family of five including two adults and three children sitting on a beige couch during a psychiatry session, talking and smiling at a psychiatrist taking notes.

We believe that high-quality psychiatric assessment should not be a luxury. Our service was designed to combine clinical excellence with fees that remain transparent, fair and realistic for families and individuals.

We use a structured pathway over a series of appointments so that assessments are thorough and well considered. Rather than making decisions in one brief session, we take time to understand your developmental history, current difficulties, and how these affect day-to-day life.

Our assessments are based on recognised diagnostic criteria and national guidance. We make clinical decisions carefully and explain them clearly, so you understand the reasons for our recommendations.

We aim to provide:

  • Thoughtful, detailed assessments

  • Clear written reports

  • Practical, individualised recommendations

  • Transparent and proportionate fees

  • Coordinated communication with your GP

What We Assess

A young woman sitting on a beige couch, smiling and talking to another person who is taking notes during a psychiatry or therapy session in a cozy clinic room.

ADHD Assessments

We carry out a comprehensive assessment of attention, impulsivity, and activity levels across different settings, such as home, school, and work. This includes gathering developmental history, questionnaires, and information from other relevant sources to support an accurate diagnosis.

Autism Spectrum Assessments

We provide a structured assessment of social communication, sensory experiences, and developmental patterns, using recognised clinical frameworks.

General Mental Health

We assess and treat a range of mental health difficulties, including anxiety and low mood, in children, young people, and adults.

Our Assessment Pathways

Person writing in a notebook with a pen, a coffee cup, and a smartphone on a table writing down their ADHD and psychiatry appointment details.

Our structured assessment pathways typically include:

  • Detailed developmental and clinical history

  • Exploration of symptoms across settings

  • School or workplace feedback where relevant

  • Standardised rating scales

  • Clinical observation

  • Collateral information from someone who knows the individual well

This allows us to develop a clear and balanced understanding before reaching diagnostic conclusions.

A full written report is provided following assessment, written in clear language that can be shared with families, schools and GPs.

Medication and Ongoing Care

A woman with shoulder-length brown hair smiling while holding a glass of water and looking at her hand in a cozy, well-lit living room getting ready to take their ADHD psychiatric medication.

Where clinically appropriate, we offer medication assessment and careful titration. Physical observations are monitored in line with prescribing guidance, and we liaise routinely with your GP to ensure safe and coordinated care.

Shared care arrangements may be requested with your GP, although acceptance is always at the discretion of the practice.
